My name is Aarti and I live and work in Chicago, IL, which is one of the friendliest big cities in the world :-) I work in an accounting firm, and in my spare time I LOVE to read historical fiction- especially books that take place in Georgian and Regency England, which is my favorite historical period- and some fantasy (though I'm somewhat picky on what fantasy books I enjoy).

I write book reviews on Amazon.com under the name Chapati. I really love getting book recommendations from people, so if you think you know something that might be up my alley, please let me know! I'm also a sucker for period drama movies. I LOVE Masterpiece Theater and BBC productions of all sorts, like Pride and Prejudice (with Colin Firth and Jennifer Ehle), North & South (the British one), etc. I am trying to read more classics, too. In hopes of helping me achieve this goal, I started the British Classics reading group on Yahoo- come join the fun, if you'd like!

I don't have nearly as many books on my bookshelf as other people do, but I think that may be better for me as that way I don't have as many credits to order so many books- none of which I have any place for!
